The Dog Squad is a Doggy Daycare in Gorey that was opened in January 2018 by Karen Alford. Karen has a number of years experience working within the Daycare industry and her mission at The Dog Squad is to give every dog that attends their Daycare a positive and fun filled experience.
The happiness and well being of your dog ALWAYS comes first at The Dog Squad. The Dog Squad is a fun, secure and safe environment for your dog to enjoy his/her day. Your dog will play and socialize with groups of dogs similar in size and temperament.
We have four large outdoor play area’s for your dog to enjoy fun activities to keep them happy and stimulated throughout the day or just to simply hang out with their friends. The play areas are designed for your dogs enrichment, from the sand arena to the big grass paddocks, they really get a fulfilling day. We have sand pits, and s swimming pool for the summer months. We also have 3 indoor area’s for your dog to snuggle down and rest in between playtime. The Dog Squad is a crate free facility.
We now offer training in The Dog Squad which is proudly collaborated with Jo in Muckyhound Dog Training. Group training classes available and also some in house one to one training whilst your dog attends Daycare.
As a dog owner Karen understands your dog is a much loved family member and we look forward to welcoming them into The Dog Squad family where they will be treated with love, respect and kindness throughout their time with us.

Karen is the owner of the company and has a number of years experience working in the Doggy Daycare industry. She has had numerous canine training courses and seminars which include;
- Canine First Aid Responder
- Canine Aggression and Rehabilitation IMDT
- Canine Body Language IMDT
- Level 5 Animal Care Distinction
Karen will continue to further educate herself in canine behaviour by attending further courses and seminars.
Carol Dardis and Anne Turner
The amazing team for The Dog Squad are Carol and Anne whose love for their work is shown everyday. Both have a number of years experience working with dogs and have had numerous canine training courses and seminars including
